You deserve great looking legs all year round!
Even if you never experience the pain of deep venous problems, spider veins are unsightly. When everyone else is wearing garments that reveal their legs, you feel the need to cover yours. It’s estimated that at least half of all women are bothered by this common cosmetic problem.
In some women, spider veins become noticeable in their early 20s. For others, the veins may not become obvious until they reach their 40s. Men get spider veins, too.
A number of factors may contribute to the development of spider veins in the legs, including:
- Hormonal shifts
- Weight gain
- Occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing
Today, there are alternatives to treat these veins.

Laser spider vein solutions are often used instead of injections when veins are located on the face. Laser spider vein solutions may also be used in addition to injection spider vein therapy, if the veins are larger than 1mm in diameter. This helps to shrink the veins down so that the sclerotherapy is more effective.
Laser Sclerotherapy – With the laser spider vein solution, the doctor will take a device that looks like a large pen with a wire attached and place the tip directly on the skin over the vein. He will then activate the laser several times along the length of the vein. You will hear a clicking sound as the laser fires and will feel a hot sensation. The laser effectively closes the vein so that blood can no longer flow through. This decreases or completely gets rid of those purple/red veins.
Injection Sclerotherapy – Injection Sclerotherapy is used to treat both spider veins and certain types of varicose veins. Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a special medication into the diseased vein which causes it to close off
