Why suffer the pain and embarrassment of varicose or spider veins?
Vein issues, such as spider and varicose veins, can be an early indication of problems to come. Varicose and spider veins are caused by venous reflux. Left untreated, this can lead to deep vein problems, which are manifested by aches, cramps, or pain. Don’t wait, treat it now!

Varicose veins can be familial and/or hereditary
Women of childbearing age and older are the most likely candidates for varicose and spider veins, but men and women can be affected at any age. It is not entirely clear why people get various veins. Venous valves direct blood flow from the legs to the heart and prevent the backward flow of blood away from the heart. In some instances, defective or absent valves in the veins may cause blood to flow backward to the legs, resulting in blood stagnation and pooling. Varicose veins may also be a late consequence of venous thrombosis or congenital abnormalities of the veins.
Although spider veins may be nothing more than a cosmetic nuisance, they may also cause leg pain. Large varicose veins cause discomfort, heaviness, and fatigue and require treatment.
Regardless of the cause, call now for a vein center appointment to find out what can be done to keep the situation from getting progressively worse!
Leg vein removal as a varicose vein treatment
Essentially, three approaches are used to treat varicose veins of the leg. The old method of surgical leg vein removal by stripping is seldom used these days. A newer, less invasive process called “ambulatory phlebectomy” or “micro-phlebectomy” is often used for physical leg vein removal. Laser and radio frequency vein treatments are available to eliminate the source of high vein pressure leading to varicose veins. We will discuss all of them at your consultation appointment to determine the best treatment for your veins.
